Masao Takahata is a Japanese illustrator and his work is often inspired by the ordinary. By making these ordinary objects the focus point of his work, it reminds people to appreciate the beauty of the insignificant or “invisible” objects around them. He also loves to draw animals like black bears, polar bears, kittens and common objects. Cozyca also has a store in Kyoto called Hiraeth that displays all the artist collaboration stationery designs they produce as well as exhibits different artists’ works in their gallery on the top floor.
