These delicious “Puccia” style buns are made in the Naples region of Italy. Pre-sliced and ambient-stored (with the option to freeze), they’re par-baked and can be cooked in minutes. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 – 200 °C for 3-5 mins. For a crispier finish, open the bun for the first 2 mins, or cook in a toaster. These puccia buns have a soft, chewy texture and are full of unbeatable flavour. They are baked to rise with a light, airy pocket and are perfect for filling with anything that your menu imagines, smashed burgers, cold cut meats, deli sandwiches, a dipper for soups and more. The main aspects of the texture of puccia buns are: Crust: The exterior is baked at a high temperature in any type of oven, resulting in a crisp, golden or leopard-spotted crust. Interior: It is often described as having “little crumb”, which means that the inside is fairly hollow and can be easily opened up to be generously filled.
